Authorities are looking for a man believed to be in his 40s who robbed the Plaza Hotel at gunpoint shortly before lunch Monday.
Police say the man walked into the luxury hotel on Fifth Avenue around 11:30 a.m., flashed a gun and fled with more than 4,600 Euros from the currency exchange.
He ran east on 58th Street.
Authorities say the man was wearing a black peacoat, glasses, brown shoes and had a black bag.
No injuries were reported.
