A New Jersey man wanted on charges of terroristic threats and weapons offense is now being sought for questioning after someone exposed himself to a 10-year-old girl and attempted to lure her Friday morning, police say.
Elizabeth police say they had already been looking for Jair Ramirez for allegedly threatening a 15-year-old girl at knifepoint on Sept. 15.
Now he's a person of interest in the incident involving the 10-year-old girl Friday morning, police said.
In that case, a man exposed his genitals to the girl and tried to lure her into a secluded alleyway on Orchard Street. He ran away when a concerned neighbor intervened, according to police.
The suspect's identity in the case has not been established, and Ramirez is only considered a person of interest right now, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Elizabeth police at 908-558-2111 or 908-558-2004.
Ramirez should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.
